Hole Farm is a livestock farm in Alderbury just outside Salisbury in Wiltshire. We have 250 cattle and 120 sheep.
The welfare of our animals is paramount to how we farm here and all of our animals graze outside most of the year round on large pastures. During the colder winter months they come into our large well ventilated sheds on thick straw beds. The farm and buildings are sustainably powered by solar panels on the cattle barn roof and the cow manure is used as fertiliser on the fields where we grow our own hay and silage. The farm has 147 acres which is all pastureland with a small amount of woodland.
The farm has stunning views of Salisbury Cathedral from many of our fields, all of which our guests are welcome to walk around and explore.
Georgina and Peter have owned the farm since 2016, previously it was a dairy owned by the Potter family who still live locally.
The farm was originally part of the Clarendon Park Estate and was separated by the Christie-Miller family when the A36 divided it from the main estate. Peter and Georgina are committed to preserve the farm and buildings and make it as sustainable as possible, whilst allowing others to enjoy the stunning location.
The farm is located in Alderbury which is 2 miles from Salisbury and 9 miles from the New Forest. The village has a pub, a post office and a shop.
